Hair Gel: Hair Styling Gel for Curly Hair and All Hair Types

Ingredients:

–Aqua (Purified Water): pure water with all impurities removed such as toxins, and hard minerals. Gives skin a drink and hydration needed to stay plump and glowing.

– Non-GMO RSPO Certified Vegetable Glycerin (Palm Derived):  is a humectant that helps attract and hold in moisture! It is also non comedogenic! Little fun fact: Glycerin molecules are smaller so it goes deeper into the skin giving much needed moisture whereas hyaluronic acid has bigger molecules that sit on top of the skin providing moisture on top of the skin. Glycerin doesn’t always get the love it should!

-Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride (Cationic Guar Gum): Cationic Guar Gum is guar gum that is modified to contain a positive charge. Guargum is a galactomannan polysaccharide extracted from guar beans that helps thicken a product, and makes it glide better on your skin. It contains potassium, calcium, sodium, and fiber. Positive charges are essential in haircare to promote the closing of the hair cuticle and helps seal in moisture, and reduces frizz. The positive charge also helps hair stick up to get a closer shave. *Although this ingredient has been modified, it is still considered natural and is accepted by COSMOs and ECOCERT, one of the strictest formulation guidelines available for natural formulation.

–AntiMicro Banana (Musa Sapientum (Banana) Leaf/ Trunk Extract): Is a preservative made from Banana leafs, the trunks and sometimes even banana too. During the production process magnets and some enzymes are introduced to create the enzyme preservative that is natural and broad spectrum. Bananas are full of  full of minerals like iron and zinc and vitamins A, B, C, and D. The leaves are rich in protein, hemicellulose, and lignin. The leaves are calming and soothing to scalp as well, making it a perfect preservative for hair. It also contains  astringent and allantoin properties that help maintain our natural hair color, and contains an antioxidant called epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) which is similar to the ones found in green tea.

– Organic Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Aloe Vera Gel): Aloe Contains 75 different properties; Vitamins A, C, E B12, Folic acid, and Choline. Antioxidants, multiple enzymes, minerals such as calcium, chromium, copper, selenium, magnesium, manganese, potassium, sodium, and zinc. Sugars, anthraquinones, fatty acids, hormones that aid in the healing of wounds, amino acids, and salicylic acid. It is also a natural humectant so it seals and draws moisture to your skin, keeping it hydrated and plump. (Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Agar, Citric Acid, Ascorbic Acid, Potassium Sorbate)

– Organic D- Alpha-Tocopherol (Vitamin E) Oil: a powerful and moisturizing antioxidant.

-Organic Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Seed Oil: Did you know a pomegranate contains around 860 seeds in each fruit? These seeds are pressed to get this amazing golden oil. It has high levels of Vitamin C and E, and also contains zinc, iron and copper, and the antioxidant, ellagic acid. It is a great hydrator, and perfect for dry dull skin.

-Organic Brassica Oleracea Italica (Broccoli) Oil: Contains antioxidants, and Vitamins A and C. It is non greasy, absorbs fast and provides protection for our natural skin barrier. Chemically it acts like silicone, but it’s from a vegetable! This oil has a silky smooth feel too!

– Organic Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Oil mimics our natural sebum and is non-comedogenic. On a molecular level it acts as a wax and helps seal in moisture, making it one of the most prized oils for skincare.

-Non GMO ECOCERT Coco Glucoside: A natural alkyl co-surfactant made with fatty alcohols from coconut and sugar. It is one of the gentlest natural surfactants and is perfect for sensitive skin to cleanse without stripping natural oils. Fully biodegradable.

-Organic Mauritia Flexuosa (Buriti) Fruit Oil: This amazing oil is packed with Vitamin C and E, very high in beta-carotene ( even higher than carrot seed oil), vitamins, essential fatty acids and antioxidants. It gives the skin a beautiful glow and is also amazing for hair as well. In the Amazon, the Buriti tree is known as “The Tree of Life”, and contains  around8% to 15% palmitic, 1% to 5% stearic, 45% to 65% oleic, and 10% to 25% linoleic acids. 

Organic Passiflora Edulis (Maracuja) Fruit Extract: Maracuja Oil is also known as Passion Fruit Oil. IT contains vitamins A, E, C, and the minerals calcium and phosphorus, and has high linoleic acid amounts. It helps make your skin feel plump, and naturally bright. It also helps balance sebum.

–Organic Daucus Carota (Carrot) Seed Oil– Full of carotenoids, like beta-carotene, full of vitamins A, B, C, D, and E and is also packed with essential fatty acids! Moisturizing, and is a great alternative to retinol.

-Non- GMO Citric Acid: A natural acid that is found in citrus fruits and is an AHA (Alpha- Hydroxy- Acid). Used as a pH adjuster. 

*AHA’s help unglue dead skin cells and exfoliate upper layers of skin. Some may experience sensitivity in the sun after using products formulated with large amounts of AHA’s, that are often called peels, etc. A very small amount of citric acid is used to properly adjust a product’s pH, but it is always best to exercise proper sun reducing techniques such as wearing a hat, protective clothing, and applying a mineral based non nano zinc sunscreen.
