Online Classroom, Equine Sciences and Stewardship of the Horse, Unit 2 – The Reproductive System

The online option includes short video lectures for each lesson, online tests, PDFs of the whole curriculum, practice test pages, and unit project lists. Grades are also set for the 10 body system units. The quizzes count toward most of the grade and posting a unit project counts toward the remainder of the grade. Only the body system units have quizzes, not the 3 extra units (Parasites, Horsessentials Handbook, and Vital Signs.) You can print as much or as little of the course as you desire. You will need to buy a clear, side-spine folder and acetate sheets, 8 1/2″ x 11.” Eleven are needed for the Build-a-Horse project. You will also need clear contact paper or a laminator for covering your Barn Charts and the cover of your Parasites unit. A set of Ultra Fine Tip markers are needed for the Build-a-Horse project and a Dry Erase Marker for the Parasites unit. You also need 4 pages of Trading Card Holders if you desire to print, trim, and use your Vital Signs Cards. All of this fits into a 2″, 3 ring binder and if you’re printing it all, you will need to punch holes ( a paper drill makes this much easier) or keep your units in a file style notebook or box. The student needs a google gmail account to use the classroom. The student has access to me.

In Unit 2, the student will complete the 2nd. layer of the Build-a-Horse project, the Reproductive System of either the Mare or the Stallion. 

Your class code will be sent to you in your “Thank You” message after purchase. 1. Go to classroom.google.com 2. You must sign in with the correct account. Student must have a google (gmail) account (email address.) 3. At the top click “Join Class.” 4. Enter the class code. 5. Click “Join.”  Class codes are 6 to 8 characters with letters and numbers, but no spaces or special symbols. If your code doesn’t work make sure you signed in with the correct account.
