“Not Forsaken” Silk Scarf

Botanical contact print on 8″x 54″ lightweight Habotai silk printed with Chinaberry tree leaves. The results are a good sharp light green print of the leaves. The tree was a huge one that I often used to harvest leaves for my prints. A hurricane knocked it down and almost uprooted it a few years ago. The tree, even though on the ground now, continued to send shoots upward to form beautiful shade and fragrant blooms. This reminded me of our Christian experience so I paired 2 Corinthians 4:9 with this scarf: ” … persecuted, but not forsaken. Struck down, but not destroyed.” It may be used as a scarf, sash, table runner, silk around a centerpiece, window dressing, or worship/dance silk.
