Exodus 10:23 (AMP)–The Egyptians could not see one another, nor did anyone leave his place for three days, but all the Israelites had [supernatural] light in their dwellings.
Isaiah 9:2-3 (NIV)–The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned. You have enlarged the nation and increased their joy; they rejoice before you as people rejoice at the harvest, as warriors rejoice when dividing the plunder.
This piece was truly inspired by the Lord. It started with a phrase spoken by a prophetic voice I follow: “It was dark in Egypt, but it was light in Goshen!” It took much time from conception to creation, but I feel I was only able to paint it when God allowed me to, and after seeking His guidance on how to paint it. I am so happy with how it came to completion!
