As Christian parents, grandparents, and extended family, we are reminded in God’s Word in Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Nurturing our children to follow God and to learn life Biblical principles are our responsibilities.
Young children are like little sponges and absorb things about life and the way, they should live from their environment. Children act out what they see others do and through what adults teach them. Especially through their playtime.
God’s Word is an excellent source of role models for interactive play. The stories of Bible heroes are never out of date.
There are action sets or play sets available for children to emulate such as: Superheroes but very few Bible hero sets.
I found crochet patterns by Jennifer Pervial depicting Bible characters and I am offering an Amigurumi Play Set of Daniel in the Lion’s Den as the first of my Bible Play Sets.
The basic set consists of Daniel and a lion. In all there are lions in three different poses available in different packages.
These sets make great birthday, Christmas and special occasions gifts helping to train our children in the Word of God through play.

Product Description
Daniel and the lions are an Amigurumi (crocheted stuffed creations) designed by Jennifer Pervial. They are made of 100% acrylic yarn body, arms, legs, and hand embroidered flesh-colored-nose, and stuffed with polyester fiberfill.
Daniel is approximately 3.4ozs. His measurements are approximately 8″” in height, 11″ width and 4″” in length. He has black safety eyes and 100% acrylic yarn flesh colored body and head, green outfit, and grey hair. There are three poses of lions, lying down-2.9 ozs, 11″-height, 2″ length, and 9.5-width, standing– 3.9ozs, 6″-height, 2″ –length, 11″ width, and sitting-3.6 ozs., 9″-height, 2″-length, and 11″-width. All lions are made of 100% acrylic yarn light vanilla body, black safety eyes, orange tip of tail, manes(males), cinnamon nose, and white cheeks.
There are two packages available: the full set that includes Daniel and the three different poses of the lions-$70.00, the basic set which includes Daniel and the lion lying down-$55.00. The three different poses of the lions may be purchased separately also–$25.00 each.
Washing Instructions: Machine wash on delicate, lay flat to dry due to safety eyes.
