- Custom-made Pouches & Bags
If you were to visit my home, especially my work room, you’d see a LOT of project bags for my knitting, crocheting and cross stitch projects. I’ve used some Christmas Stocking fabric to make a project bag specifically for holding Christmas crafting project! I’ve used leftover Winnie the Pooh fabric from a nursing pillow I made my daughter for a bag holding baby projects. For me, it’s fun to have fabrics that represent a category of crafting.
Pictured in the gallery is a set of project bags made from fabric from a dress my sister-in-law wore to my oldest daughter’s wedding! She had taken the dress apart to reuse the fabric herself but instead gift it to me. This set is my favorite because of where the fabric came from and who wore it.
My friend Sarah made herself and her little daughter matching skirts from a lovely dark blue fabric the remnants of which she sent me a before she moved, so I made her a Christmas ornament as well as aheating pad for a special birthday! There was plenty of the blue left over so I’ve use that in the Back the Blue ornaments.
A customer sent me two house dresses to make two pouches and one tote bag from. The dresses had belonged to her grandmother who had recently passed away and she wanted to give her mother a memorial gift! It was an honor to make these for her!
